40.1% of Iowans identify as conservative compared to only 19.8% of Iowans that identify as liberal according to a new Gallup survey. Iowa holds a conservative advantage of 20.3% which puts it as the 24th most conservative state in the country.
In total, only three states and the District of Columbia had a net liberal advantage. The three states clock in at under 6% liberal advantage whereas D.C. had a net advantage of 16.5%!
Wyoming identified as the most conservative state in the country with 51.4% of Wyoming residents identifying as conservative and a conservative advantage of 40.5%.
