Mark has demonstrated his commitment to education by receiving his college degrees, attending college at night, while working full-time during the day, serving on the School Board and as Board Member of the IWCC Alumni Association. (He was elected in 1990 and again in 2005 to the Council Bluffs Community School District Board of Education). In addition, Mark was  an Adjunct Instructor at  Iowa Western Community College  from 2001 through 2010. He has always felt education is important and enjoys teaching. Mark is not a career politician. He has been a union member and has worked in management, so he can see both sides of the issues. He knows what it is like to go to school at night while working full-time during the day. He knows what it is like to teach in a classroom and what it takes to run a school district.  Mark is a pro-family, pro-life common sense conservative that is dedicated to serving his constituents!
