Chip Baltimore is serving his fourth term in the Iowa House.

Chip was raised on a small farm near Oskaloosa.  He graduated from Oskaloosa High School and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Business Administration from Iowa State University, majoring in finance and minoring in economics.  Chip also received a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, graduating cum laude.

Following graduation from law school, Chip practiced law in Minneapolis before moving to Boone, where he joined the Quinn, Doran & Anderson law firm.  Chip became a partner in the firm in 2000.

In 2006, Chip left private practice and joined Boone Bank & Trust Co. as in-house counsel, vice-president and trust officer. In this position, Chip is entrusted with the assets of many individuals, trusts, businesses, non-profit organizations, and government entities.

Chip has two children, Blake and Danielle.

Baltimore has remained very active in the community through his work with many organizations.  Baltimore currently serves as President of the Boone Educational Endowment Foundation, and has previously served as a director and officer of a county-wide economic development group, Boone’s Future, and as President of the Boone County Community Endowment Fund.  He also helped to raise money for the Central Iowa Expo, an event which brings farmers and agricultural businesses to central Iowa from around the world. Throughout his many years in Boone, Baltimore has also served on the boards of the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce, Central Iowa Hospice, and the Retired and Seniors Volunteer Program.
