Greg Forristall grew up on the family farm near Macedonia, and after graduation from Carson-Macedonia High School, he went on to earn bachelor and master degrees at the University of Iowa.

Greg currently resides in Macedonia with his wife, Carol, who taught music in Iowa public schools for thirty-five years.

Greg has been active in the community with organizations such as the Council Bluffs Sister Cities, Farm Bureau, the Iowa Corn Promotion Board and the Iowa Western Community College Board.  He has been a member of the United States Grain Council and has served on the Iowa State Board of Education and the Iowa Community College Council.

In the Iowa House, Forristall is the Ranking Member of the Economic Growth Committee.  He also sits on the Education, Human Resources and Ways and Means Committees as well as the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee.
