Nick is an account manager and Project Engineer for ESCO Group in Marion. He completed a term as an at-large Marion City Council Member in 2008.

Nick was born on November 4, 1973. His mother was a small business owner and his father was an executive.

He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering. In 1998 he received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa.

Nick and his wife, Mandy, live in Marion and have two children, Samantha and Grant.

In 2004 Nick was elected to the Marion City Council as an at-large council member. Nick served on the Highway 151 Economic Development Committee, Mayoral Youth Advisory Council Advisor, Zoning Ordinance Review Committee, Brownfield Steering Committee, Solid Waste Mediation Committee, and the Priority Advisories Committees.
