Rep. Megan Hess running her first bill through the House Judiciary committee

Today, freshmen Representative Megan Hess (HD2, Spencer) ran her first bills through the House Judiciary Committee.  While many members only run a single bill at a time, Rep. Hess ran three, all but one passing unanimously.

The bills were:

  • HSB 14: An act relating to county attorney duties when representing the Department of Human Services in juvenile court.
  • HSB 15: An act relating to the administration of the judicial branch including provisions pertaining to short hand reporters and the practice of law, making appropriations and providing for a fee.
  • HSB 25: An act relating to the forfeiture of bail in a criminal case.
