Republican Legislator Returns from Deployment

Rep. Royd Chambers (R-Sheldon), a member of the Iowa Air National Guard, recently returned from a deployment to Kyrgystan. Chambers was deployed in January of 2009.

“We’re very grateful to all the men and women who so valiantly serve our country, and we’re especially proud of Rep. Chambers,” said House Republican Leader Kraig Paulsen (R-Hiawatha). “House Republicans are pleased that he’s returned safely and we’re excited to have him back.”

Chambers was first elected to the Iowa House in 2002 and is a high school teacher. With the return of Rep. Chambers, Republicans will now have 44 voting members in the House.
