Meet Our Members – Quentin Stanerson

Representative Quentin Stanerson is currently serving his second term in the Iowa House.  He represents Iowa’s 95th District which includes Center Point, Lisbon, and Mount Vernon.

Rep. Stanerson is the Chairman of the Veterans Affairs committee and also serves on the Education, State Government, and Ways &Means committees, as well as the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Capitals budget subcommittee.

Quentin was born and raised in Conroy, Iowa. His parents still live there today.  He attended Williamsburg High School.

After high school Quentin enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. While serving he traveled overseas on multiple deployments. He was head of a Tactical Air Control Party and assisted in the calling in of Close Air Support. After the Marine Corps I enrolled at Kirkwood Community College.

Rep. Stanerson goes “Over the Edge” for Special Olympics

Rep. Quentin Stanerson raised over $1,000 to go “Over the Edge” for the Iowa Special Olympics last week.  A total of $106,000 was raised for the Special Olympics Iowa athletes at this event. This is the first year Rep. Stanerson has participated.  He repelled down the Financial Center in Des Moines — 345ft. straight down!
