(WAVERLY, IOWA) -- On Monday, December 13, Speaker of the Iowa House Pat Grassley (R-New Hartford) held a roundtable discussion on the issue of child care at the Families First Child Care Center in Waverly, Iowa. Grassley met with in-home child care providers, daycare center child care providers, and employers for a robust discussion on the holistic approach required to address Iowa's child care crisis.

(DES MOINES) -- Today, Speaker of the Iowa House Pat Grassley (R-New Hartford) announced personnel changes to committee assignments.

The changes come as two additional members join the Iowa House Republican caucus after winning special elections this fall.  Mike Bousselot (R-Ankeny) and Jon Dunwell (R-Newton) will each be placed on four new committees.

HF 902 creates a process businesses must follow to allow medical and religious exemptions from any COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Additionally, it guarantees that employees who are fired due to their decision not to receive a COVID-19 vaccine are eligible for unemployment insurance.
